2 Paradoxes That Lead To Self-Awareness

Self-awareness

One undebatable thing bout humankind is that we are clever. By saying this, I do not mean in the sense that human intelligence is measured by Intellectual Quotient, but in this sense that, we are very open to self-deception to get what we want.

The ultimate human goals are that they want to earn money, live a good life without troubles and stresses, have a positive impact on the world, and also become spiritually enlightened. The other thing is that there is always a subconscious reason, for why we all need these things.

For example, we want to have an impact on this world maybe because we need to reduce our collective suffering. Or, maybe we have other hidden desires to be famous and to be known all over. But, do we do that because that is what reflects our true nature? Or just because we want to be above others? Do we want to become spiritually enlightened, because we fear burning in hell, or we have seen the effects of egocentrism on other humans? Or because we are looking for other forms of incredible experiences?

With this question, one can be uncomfortable. Because to answer this, we need to practice a certain degree of honesty which we are not always prepared for. As Fasihibrand Research Center puts it in their research report, this truth directs one to the end of deception in all its forms because this is the foundation of self-awareness.

Without self-awareness, we can it realize the things we realize now. Without self-awareness, we cannot realize that we all suffer due to the unnecessary things we are attached to. Fasihibrand centers in their report if self-awareness shows that, self-awareness is what helps us to understand who we are before we decide to do what we do.

Our mind judges everything it sees and mostly, we judge things as either good or bad. And due to this judgemental, we, therefore, do not try to explore things any further.

In this article, we shall look into 2 paradoxes that will lead you to self-awareness.

1. Delay Your Judgement To Deepen Your Understanding. When you judge others, events, circumstances, daily experiences, and things either good or bad, you must be sensitive to yourself as you judge all these. If you do not judge something at an infant you see it, you open yourself up to a different point of view.

2. Become Selfish To Truly Help One Another. We are advised to put others as a priority than we do ourselves. However, most people are selfish. This is so because half-hearted selfishness is often worse than wholehearted selfishness.

A half-hearted selfish person sometimes focuses on helping others, and sometimes, on acquiring material possession but a wholehearted selfish person, is concerned with the psychology of his or her well-being. This is so because they are serious, and know that their well-being is synonymous with having a peaceful mind. Paradoxically, it is by focusing on yourself, that you cf e able to help others. That is self-awareness and where such a person goes, love and peace follow him.
